La Rambla, a pedestrian boulevard in Barcelona is lined with beautiful trees and packed with people selling their fares to both residents and to travellers. La Rambla encompasses magnificent old buildings, shops, markets, and street statues in five wide streets which are all connected end to end. Below the Placa Reial there are also strip clubs and peep shows. The famous Gran Teatre del Liceu, a 19th century opera house, a guttural bird market and amusing mimers add to the melting pot of attractions and highlights.
