Paris Sights, Sounds and Hotels
Sainte-Chapelle is the only part of the older complex that once was home to French kings. It remains in its entirety and was built by Louis IX to house a collection of holy relics from the Byzantium Empire. Consecrated in 1248, the chapel is one of the finest achievements of French High Gothic architecture in Paris and its delicate and minimal masonry combined with great expanses of magnificent stained glass give it a graceful fragility. To avoid the crowds that throng to see the Sainte-Chapelle it is wise get there as early as possible.
Paris culture, coupled with all the wonderful sites and sounds that the city has to offer, not to mention the great Paris restaurants, is an experience not to missed. Take a look at some of the great Paris hotels and book your trip soon.
